Latin Students Team up with Barneys New York to Raise Money for Women in Rwanda

A group of Upper
School students at Latin are working with the Barneys New York store to
sell dolls made by Rwandan women infected with HIV. 
They were inspired by Dr. Mardge Cohen, a pioneer in HIV research in
the United States, who, over the last two years, has worked with
Women’s Equity in Access to Care and Treatment to help provide HIV care
to women in Rwanda. Cohen recently spoke at The Latin School about the
systematic infection of women with HIV during the Rwandan Genocide and
about current efforts to help these women. She mentioned her work with
a group of patients on an income-generating project to make dolls for
